Why Work With Me?

My Professional Background

My professional background spans three decades, during which I dedicated twenty-two years to 3M Company, a dynamic innovation conglomerate and Fortune 100 corporation with a $70 billion valuation.

Within 3M, I built on my original engineering background (I am a Chartered Engineer), in roles across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Research and Development, Business and Corporate Functions in sectors such as Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care, Oil & Gas, Personal Safety, and General Industry across EMEA. These experiences equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of diverse industries and an innate ability to navigate complex organisational landscapes.

More recently, I had the opportunity to work on a global scale developing high-potential leaders, directors and C-suite executives through a prestigious corporate leadership development and organisational transformation program. This further fuelled my passion for unlocking the potential within individuals and teams.

Since 2023 I’ve been delighted to offer my services internationally to growth inspired leaders and organisations.

My Coaching & Behaviour Change Credentials

Since 2017 I have been delighted to serve as an executive and team coach, helping top talent across more than 40 nationalities achieve personal and professional transformations. With over a thousand hours of coaching partnering with senior leaders and emerging talent in industries as diverse as Automotive, Aerospace, Investment Banking, Airlines, Pharmaceuticals, and Healthcare.

I have supported leaders in experiencing the power of coaching in facilitating lasting change and growth. Accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) at Senior Practitioner level. In a world where coaching is an unregulated industry I am committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.

In addition to my practical coaching experience, academically I hold an MSc in Coaching & Behavioural Change and a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School (a globally recognised business school with a coaching centre of excellence accredited by the major coaching institutions such as the ICF, EMCC, and AC). This academic pursuit allows me to stay at the forefront of coaching practices and equip myself with the latest evidence-based techniques for the benefit of my clients. My dissertation research investigated the fascinating area of Intercultural Psychological Safety in a global corporation across more than 55 nations.

I am deeply invested in creating inclusive coaching environments where individuals feel safe to explore and expand their potential. Psychological safety is widely credited as a key foundational aspect for the creation of high performing teams. I am also accredited to use the ‘Creating the team edge’ 360 approach to unlock the potential of teams and Hogan psychometric assessments to improve self-awareness help uncover leadership values, strengths and personal blindspots.

What’s My Coaching Philosophy?

First and foremost individual and team coaching services are often described as a thinking partnership, and a key ingredient of developing a successful coaching engagement is forming a strong working alliance. This is where will begin in our initial coaching session. We shall also start to understand your personal motivation, to understand your inner-drive. This sets the scene for a deeper, more meaningful, coaching experience.

I draw upon the best evidence-based coaching methodologies, tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs and circumstances. I draw on more than a dozen coaching approaches including neuroscience informed coaching, cognitive behavioural, positive psychology (including strengths coaching), cross-cultural, compassionate mind, systemic and team coaching approaches. My coaching style is characterised by empathy, active listening, supportive challenge, and thought-provoking questioning, empowering clients to gain clarity, deepen self-awareness, tap into their inner resources and overcome obstacles with confidence.

Why I Do What I Do?

As a first generation graduate, I benefitted from the huge explosion in human potential resulting from the increase in UK university attendance in the early 1990’s. Looking back at my career my two ‘golden threads’ have been an ability to develop others and a capability to make organisational improvements (developing leaders and delivering results).

Coaching provides me with the wonderful opportunity to work with amazing people and organisations and make a tangible difference. Witnessing the growth and transformation of my clients is incredibly rewarding and fuels my commitment to helping individuals, teams and organisations maximise their potential and achieve sustainable success.

My clients say that they seek me out for my impressive background but also my unique blend of commercial insight, organisational understanding, and unwavering support. I recognise the delicate balance between organisational challenges and shared human experiences (organisational life and leadership are full of paradoxes). I emphasise the importance of each individual's unique contributions and impacts. My warm approach and client-centric focus underscore the profound significance of every person's journey and influence. We all matter.
